Proof Test

The Proof Test (manufacturing test force) is a term referring to the minimum tensile force which has been applied to a chain, binder or rope under a constantly increasing force in direct tension during the manufacturing procedure. These loads are manufacturing integrity tests and shouldn't be used as service criteria and design purpose, and can only be used as design and service reference.
