Saturday Crowd Wows Exhibitors
Saturday's American Towman Exposition packed the Baltimore Convention Center as an overwhelming crowd gathered for the traditional, grand opening. A marching band led thousands of towers into the hall. Attendance rose to the level of the last show held in Baltimore in 2018.
According to Exposition President Doc Calitri, "Exhibitors were super busy selling accessories and equipment while the finance companies were happy as well." East Coast Truck and Trailer Sales reported robust business, selling 17 of the 18 trucks they brought to the show within the first hour.
Sunday's crowd, treated with free pie, and Friday's strong turn-out, helped top a total attendance of 12,000 attendees. Calitri said, "The buyers were here. New trucks on the floor sold fast."
American Towman’s ballyhooed “Comeback” became a reality and left a towing industry hopeful for the coming year.
