Trailer chains, also called trailer safety chains, are made of electro galvanized steel, the chain grade is NACM grade 30, the electro galvanization is for rust prevention, we have three chain diameters available, 1/4 in, 3/16 in. and 5/16 in., usually trailer chains come with S Hooks at both ends.
We have 3/16 in, 1/4 in and 5/16 in trailer chains available, with s hooks or clevis grab hooks, both hooks come with safety latches, the length comes in 4 ft.(48 in.) and 4.5 ft.(54 in.). For safe towing, you need to connect the safety chain properly every single time when you tow. Cross chains under the coupler then attach properly and securely to the tow vehicle so they won't bounce loose. Leave only enough slack to allow full turning. Too much slack may stop chains from maintaining control if other connections separate. Never let the chains drag on the road.
Electro Galvanized trailer safety chains with S Hooks w/ safety latches connect the trailer tongue to the towing vehicle for towing safety. Use your gross trailer weight (GTW) as a criteria to choose the necessary chain working load and strength.
